but it is a plausible hypothesis, at least....... Yes, plausible. Begin rant. You know, Neo, I'm totally wired to bristle at intolerance. Even as a small child, I always stuck up for those who were mocked on the playground. I grew up second generation American of Eastern European stock right after WW2. Many of my childhood friends were Jews. My all-time favorite quote is the one by Neimoller about how "first they came for the communists..." You know the one. What I learned about the founding of my country was about the rights of individuals to their own religions and political views, no matter how unpopular. My home town had little ethnic enclaves. I interacted with everyone and wondered why others didn't. I was very engaged by the civil rights movement and personally broke ground more than once as a woman. I've always been able to fit in with both the cool crowd and the oddballs. It's a trait that served very well whenever I was charged with conducting investigations and studies that required me to gain the trust of all parties and get them to open up to me in interviews. This is so engrained in me that I will never fail to stick up for those picked on just because they're different. Unique individuals are wonderful creatures, to be appreciated for all their texture. Political parties suck. The political left is too into groupism. The political right is too fat, dumb, and happy. Sad. End of rant. Karen
