I have a deep feeling of foreboding that the Chinese will try the pilot in one of their kangaroo courts. Maybe others. They want us to apologize so that they can say, even if the pilot denies he's at fault, we apologized, so we accept that he's at fault. They will probably try him no matter what, if that is their intention. And then either execute him or more likely imprison him. That would be consistent with the old China, and we see how little has changed. Edit: just logged onto Drudge Report, see others fear the same.-ng-
