I am sure cave men and women had some sort of morality. I've no idea what it was, but I'm sure it wasn't Judeo Christian. From ancient burials we can tell that certain individuals were cared for even in death- that is an expression of a kind of morality- respect for the dead. This was far before the Judeo Christian era.

People have to get along. They have evolved ways to do it. Those ways are religion and values/morality. All societies have some sort of structure like this, although the structures can be very different.

So all I can take from observation of humankind is that morality and religion are dependent upon where you are, and who you live with.
