A non-sorority cheerleader, eh? I'm sure I should be impressed, but since I went to a college that didn't have fraternities, sororities, OR cheerleaders (our only intercollegiate sporting event was the annual croquet match with the Naval Academy), I don't appreciate your accomplishment as much as I would if I had gone to an ivy league school.

As to giving to political parites, that one I'm safe on. I give only to local candidates anyhow, and then it's to the candidate not the party, and I don't much care which party they belong to. But actually, on our island, to the great chagrin of certain rabid partyists of both parties, most of the people are indifferent to which party a candidate belongs to. It's rather nice, actually.

Would that we could spread this ethos to the nation as a whole.
