Theo,

God, I don't think I could stomach single digits again.

I think back to Fall of '98 and SanDisk was a nascent company.
Now it is a much larger "enterprise" and the target markets
are coming into sharper focus. Right now the trouble is
growing pains. Eli and company were building in expectation
of insatiable demand leaving the fabless model they previously
followed behind. And all of a sudden demand falls off a cliff.

Perhaps Eli was right when he said execution was the biggest
risk to investors in SanDisk. We have swung from a supply
constrained environment to the other extent of the pendulum.

I am not sure how badly we will be penalized for this, but
single digits seems to be a fairly severe punishment for a
company with astounding growth during the last two years.

I have no idea where the bottom may lie. We've crashed through
several floors already. Are we in the basement now?

God, I hope so.
