I dont know what the median salary of SI is, nor the active participitation of active stock ownership vs the "public"-- I have learned the hard way that education and hard work are no criteria for advacement in many jobs;and most people like myself are average; I think thegood feeling effect still exists for much of the public who have limited access to their 401 etc; they did not gain nor lose enough money in the last bubble to make a difference; when I see job losses at big corp, I know that most jobs come from small business; and alot do well in times of rate cuts; small job creation is the key stat which I do not have-- the people who work for me are still going on vacation, buying tvs etc; cars I am not sure about; but looking a new car sales , they have not fallen dramatically;we are living thru a psycholigical time of prosperity-- no war , scandal, decent wages, innovations of the computer age and medicine , email etc which makes life so much easier and fun
I know the market is bad very for ltbh and some of the prices may never return and feeling rich was like a trip to disney; but most people did not make the trip and continue to live as prior;
I keep wondering that in certain parts of the ecomomy we are doing well and we will not have a recession; despite all the gloom and preparation for Krispy Kreme as the new glamour stock leader
