My question is
when you say we have a zero savings rate
What constitutes savings?
If you must put your money into a bank to be a "saver" that seems just plain silly to me
Is an IRA a savings account?
I worked with a guy once that put 4 kids threw college on carpenters wages, that was his savings, he promised his kids he was going to live with every one of them when he was old enough to drool !
seems like a good plan to me <g>
I read the other day that their are more homeowners today than ever before in America's history ...savings or not

P.S. On that JNPR bet do ya think we could work out some kind of installment plan<g>
