I don't really think that it will impact CIEN's short term sales. But long term, it will be seen as one less competitor for them. I don't think that Cisco is going to abandon this particular market though. Interesting that they also sold 6.35M shares of CORV in the past few weeks. I may take a flyer in SCMR...located in Chelmsford MA....site of one of CSCO's large east coast operations. This is a gamble on my part though. I have found that takeover plays are not terribly reliable.
