I can't present any detailed analysis of the demographics argument (which I used to buy) but, I'm more inclined to believe that the bull market is finally over and likely not returning to new highs by 2005. I say this because of the many topping patterns in the charts. I don't think 4 years will provide sufficient time to work through the overhead supply of paper. In fact, the boomer segment may work against such a recovery scenario as many preemptively disinvest in an attempt to beat the crowd out of the market by 2010, when the boomers begin to retire en masse.
