Paul,

I stress my Dell PIII/NT system at work pretty hard, and I have to reboot at least once very two weeks. The Solaris box seems to be good for about 6 weeks at a time, and Linux has been up for 3 months without the slightest hint of trouble.

ME gets the boot at least once a day, though the memory fix I got on this thread from Minnow has cured the most serious problem.

Paul, >Tell that to EBAY or SCHWAB or other SUN customers whose sites keep crashing.

You've heard of the five nines, or 4 nines, or 6 or 7 nines of availability measurement: Sun is pushing for one nine, it seems like lately.
