Gary,

being inspired by Al and Scumbria and try to live like an environmentalist, I realize that I can save some 1-2kwh everyday.

I use a blank screen saver which causes the monitor to shut down and spin down the less-frequently used hard discs after an hour of inactivity.

The power used by an idle Celeron 333 is negligible compared with a monitor and several discs.
