I think higher unemployment claims would be a 'positive' since strong consumer confidence was taken as negative anything strong so far has been taken negative , market want's corporates to show signs of life, that corporate front will deliver and economy to show propensity for more cuts that will also be possible with this dichotmy.. so lower rates more equity and less to pay and more to spend to buy some cheap stocks here..

I know that JD, that is one reason but also Yahoo a buy and Dell has turned a lot of analysts, and the worst news for the shorts was <<Initial claims for state unemployment insurance benefits rose to 383,000 in the week ended March 31 from a revised 365,000 in the prior week to stand at its highest level since 384,000 in the July 4, 1998 week, the Labor Department said.>> this opens the gates for aggressive FED stance to cut further, now market REALIZES THAT IKE 'THE LONE VIOCE IS RIGHT' WE ARE IN A SOFT LANDING..GG
