The market has been wobbly the past year. The first big scare was about a year ago. Semiconductors are one small slice of the market. Dotcoms are dropping like flies, pc sales are slowing, Internet home penetration is leveling off, we are reaching a saturation point. Additionally, there has been a Dutch bulb frenzy about Internet startups, and a lot of overvaluation, as capital has been thrown at them with expectation of quick profits.
