Isn't that supposed to be sampling Q4 shipping Q1 '02? (it may be that I'm wrong)

On the issue of SOI, AMD has claimed that the 33% expansion at Dresden is dedicated to implantation lines for SOI. If that's really all that space is being used for, it seems like it would be designed to treat all wafers at the plant. Probably they're hedging their bets, and have a non SOI process ready in case SOI is troublesome, but I expect they hope to use a single SOI process if it's efficient enough.
