Grasshopper,

I have found in the past:

When the markets are in a long term decline, people will say "this is a buying opportunity" and we buy the dips. The opposite happens when we turn around and start a long term trend up. We start thinking "shorting opportunity" and "sucker rally". I'm not saying we are in a long term trend up; just that the "mentality" may be there now for us to go up quite a bit. Most people think that the NAS can only go down now and will try their hand at shorting and Put buying. Because of this, we may just keep heading up.
