There is pretty strong resistance for the dow around 9870 also. I don't think this is going anywhere. The dow needs to sink into a real bear before this foolishness is over. NDX-100 will suffer little bit with it. Just imho.

The 1982 bottom was a sizeable up day, I believe, although I don't know if it occurred on a gap. I don't like gaps, at least not off the very bottom. Can't recall ever seeing that.

All the indexes returned to their mid-98 peaks, but they went a little too far below those levels for my comfort. I still think the 8300/950/1400 targets are reasonable. I'm not buying here.
