"the Chinese buzzed the plane in international waters. They got too close and then accidently hit."

You are assuming that it was an accident. The problem with a world where there is a single super-power is that it is difficult to get the attention of that country. China feels it is critical to gain, and hold the attention of the US right now. That has been accomplished. Apparently the detaining of Chinese ex-pats residing in the US wasn't working. This did.

I'd say you have it backwards. The US plane is trying to observe the Chinese and then the Chinese buzzed the plane in international waters. They got too close and then accidently hit.

Tim,

I guess you must have been on the plane.
