Niceguy, I wouldn't bet on no negative alterations in price performance in the next 12-18 months. If Intel is as successful at transitioning to the 0.13-micron Northwood as AMD was at transitioning to the 0.18-micron K75, it is possible that Intel's price performance ratio will increase faster than AMD's up to the point when Clawhammer ships in volume. That is to say, from the end of Q4 '01 through the beginning of Q3 '02. Then it would become a matter of how successful Intel is at making the transition to 300mm wafers.

One place where AMD's price performance ratio will undisputedly rise relative to Intel however, for at least the next 18 months will be the mobile processor market.
