This is a pretty strong rally. Caused by short covering a technical bounce or whatever. The smugness of bears had grown to the level of easily being upset imo. The market fundamentals for the tech stocks continue to deteriorate. However, the fundamentals for many other sectors are not nearly so bad and the justification for buying based on both their being technically short-term oversold and oversold on a fundamental basis has merit. This remains a bifurcated market: bubble tech stocks vs. old economy stocks. NASDAQ vs. SPASDAQ.
