"If it was deliberate then it is even more the fault of China."

About as close to certainty as anything having to do with China. Admittedly I haven't been following this discussion, but is it essentially impossible for a slow moving aircraft like our spy plane to collide with a jet fighter unless the fighter cooperates. What did it do, reach out and swat the fighter?

As far as the pilot committing suicide under orders, well it happens. I remember a Chinese co-worker telling me about a flood in Wuhan, where the soldiers linked arms and tried to hold the dike in place...

RE:"If it was deliberate then it is even more the fault of China. And also then the pilot of the fighter appears to have commited suicide under orders."

That's a real reach.

Tim,

Your type of misunderstanding of other cultures is exactly the problem leading the Bush administration towards a disastrous foreign policy.

Yes Tim, we Asians would all commit suicide at the asking of our government. You know, the other day I was embarrassed in front of my inlaws - and almost committed sepuku. We're all bad drivers and great at math. One other thing ... we all know karate.

I think you watched Shogun one to many times.
