When I was a child, my mother had a large flower garden but no veggies. Our next door neighbors had a large vegetable garden containing these big, purple things. I had to ask what they were and I never had a taste of eggplant until many, many years later. Go figure.

15 year old? Lots of luck with veggies, unless he abruptly decides he's a vegetarian, which I guess is something kids do when you draw the line at tattoos.
