Yup.......provocation by this new administration is what has put China into their current "harder line" position. They have something to prove to their own people but also they don't know what the Bush team is going to do next. How sad that the lives of all those service men and women and their families are being affected by this stupidity. The same sort of circumstances occurred with Iraq, I believe. It was mentioned that the bombing runs had been routine and common in recent months, just not reported. Once you deface an Arab, he has to act strong in front of his other Arabs or he looks like a wimp in their eyes. We definitely are returning back to the "kick butt" days.
