Uh oh. I just heard that Abby Joesef (sp?) Cohen is coming on CNBC in the coming hour. I'm sure she will talk up techs and suggest moving cash into equities. Since there have been no major warning after the bell today, we just might have another good day tomorrow. Pravin.

Pravin: "I think Intel is using Dell and their box price war as a tool to punish those box makers that have supported AMD. They are gambling that people will continue to buy Dell if they offer Intel boxes cheaper than others can offer AMD boxes. The problem is that this strategy rests solely on "Intel Inside" loyalty, and is undermined by AMD having a better product that Dell can not offer at any price. This blows up in their faces as AMD gains market share and Dell can never raise their prices." Dangerous tactic if it is unsuccessful but its track record of success has convinced INTC/Dell management to once again go this route...What they may not have factored in sufficiently into this "habitual" tactic is the fact that they no longer control the top end and entry level is fast approaching 1 gig...Previous tactics of this nature were reinforced by a monopoly at the top end to subsidize the paractice...that monopoly, like the investment capital gains to prop up earnings, no longer exists...Indeed, it does semm that "the emporor is wearing no clothes" this time around!!!
