well, as has been stated here before, the market is now in the hands of amateurs...which is demonstrated by the fact that it does indeed react, and often violently so, to 'news'.

all these things you enumerate may well contribute to further declines, as triggers...but imo the market is price wise still so far away from the reality it purportedly represents, that my 'closed system' theory continues to apply, until the market is priced moderately, i.e. near its historic mean p/e.

until then we're trading pokemon cards, not stocks.
