I sold my LU at 12.88 and should have bought it back two days ago in the midst of the Big Lie. I would have too but woke up late and didn't see it until it was back up to 6.50. Decided to wait to see if it would go back down. It never did. LU I use only as an example of short overexuberance and the dishonesty coming into that world recently. Reminds me of the dishonesty on the long side these past years. Greed + lies and manipulation = overdone. I don't have a current position in LU. As for hyping it at 40, last year I sold at 67 (thank God), later traded it twice un-profitably in the 30-40 range, then waited and bought at 17 down to 9 3/4, missing a sell point at 21. So took a small loss on the 12.88 sale and missed a nice gain. being long techs has been very-very hard lately as you know and only the fastest traders have been able to make a profit. All in all maybe I broke even on LU. Now LU's priced all the way back to IPO days. If the VZ deal is any indication it will recover gradually within a few years to the 30 level again, or maybe get bought out soon. It will probably hit 11 again soon and will therefore be a double from the other day's bottom. Would have been a nice buy there, huh? But I prefered to buy EMC at the bottom the other day instead. Not a bad decision either and likely to lead the way back. Good luck trading. And remember to follow the trend. I believe that trend just changed dramatically in the past 2 days ever since that LU rumor exposed The Big Lie. I might have called it perfectly this time. Just wish I had bought more techs that day. Tried to and had six orders in but only one filled, EMC. Shouldn't have been so cheap I guess.
