If you think we have already experienced the "descent into hell", I commend some reading with respect to the 1930s.

With respect to whether this bear market is at an end and whether we will now experience an "ascent to stability and recovery", might I suggest a small wager along the lines of where you think the COMPX will be by the end of the year. Name your figure if interested.

I actually derive a significant return from shorting the REALLY smacked down and stomped on "fallen angels". In point of fact, on many occasions, they are a much better risk/reward situation once they have been smacked around a bit, than while they are still "darlings". Have a look at some of my previous posts if interested in the reasons why this is so.
