<<DELL is doing fine >>

Curious where you heard that, since DELL admitted that 40% of their quarter is not yet in, and they only reaffirmed lowered guidance from few weeks ago. Seems like a lot of insiders aren't so sure that DELL is such a bargain down here either.

Don't disagree that there are a lot of undervalued tech stocks out there that might, and probably will rally 30-40% off these ridiculous price levels.
Not sure that CSCO and DELL are among them though....

>>Trash-talking CSCO to single digits now doesn't seem realistic at all.<< I wasn't "talking trash" I gave a reason. A good one. Rate cuts won't boost declining earnings and bulging non-performing receivables

DMP, you trash talker you!! BTW, when did you EVER short CSCO??

I'm pretty sure that was me commenting that CSCO might have a look at single digits. And I don't think ANYbody was trash talking it.

Could CSCO see $30+ in a year or so? Perhaps.
It's had a 75% hair cut already and should rebound? Let's ask the LUCENT folks about that.

CSCO chairman comes out and says there is no vision for the rest of the year, has increased bad debt reserves to half a billion dollars, layed off thousands, and lost it's claim to the fastest, bestest product to JNPR.

But don't take it from me.

I do not hate CSCO. In fact, when they dip below the $10 level, if I am lucky, I will be a buyer of a fantastic company. But to say they have no chance of reaching $10, well I think the odds are certainly more than 0%.

Hows that for trash talking???

AmericanSpirit: "But remember two rate cuts are likely between now and May 15 "

Don't count on it. The FED is not going to make a habit of intra meeting rate reductions. See what we get for numbers tomorrow. There are still land mines lying out there. One euphoric day does not make a trend or guarantee a bottom is set. Dell's news was not significantly positive -- they just said they expect to meet projections which is positive for them given that others keep revising downward. This market is so starved for good news it will rally on anything non-depressing. The market moved exactly as expected today. GH

[[Tomorrow I see the NAZ open slightly positive then a sharp dive, recovery, flat for awhile, with a gradual sell off into the close.]] <gg>

>>>> Trash-talking CSCO to single digits now doesn't seem realistic at all <<<<

In the past you posted to me blaming me for keeping people out of the market when it was running up back in 1999/2000, and if I recall correctly you wanted me to apologise to them. Forgot exactly when and I dont have the exact post or I would quote it.

By the way did you apologise for being so bullish and not giving people advice to get out about 3500 points ago on the NAZ, not saying that you should as you demanded of me.

I took that post and some of the nasty PMs as specific attacks on me, and was one of the reasons I stopped posting on SI for months.

We prefer to have a balanced view on the threads, as long as the posts are substantiated/backed up. You have at least toned down your bullishness/given backup to some degree as compared to the past, but if you are going to start the junk/attacks as you have in the past you will not be welcomed here.

DMP has the right to his opinion if CSCO can drop lower, and since he is a regular poster, we are all aware of his position. Whether he is right or wrong doesnt matter, but to accuse him of "TRASH-TALKING CSCO to SINGLE DIGITs" can be viewed as putting blame on him - that JUNK, needs to stop.

What kind of a fool is this guy? Selling DELL at the bottom? Michael needs to give him a loan so he can hold on to his shares a while longer since all is now well at DELL.

"The big boys on Wall Street are pissed at short-trading gangs and see them as sheeps to be fleeced now, regardless of valuation arguments."

That's one of the funnier things I've read all morning (been pretty boring). Considering the fact that the "big boys on Wall Street" are the largest "short-trading gang" out there.
