what about a pair-trade between CMRC and ARBA? - long CMRC, short ARBA 1 to 1. They've been trading far too much in sync the past couple of days, and CMRC's warning wasn't that bad. CMRC plunged almost as much on the ARBA news and ARBA climbed nearly as much on the CMRC news. Today is the first day that CMRC clearly outperformed.

I'm guessing it has to do with arbs closing out their shorts of ARBA, artificially holding up the price(they still have over $1.4B marketcap at 5.34 with a 50% rev miss)

And hey, AGIL up to 13.88, ARBA down to 5.34 from about 11 and 8.25.

Tom, thank you for outllining your thinking with respect ot CCMP. I now understand that at least part of your thinking has to do with your having listened to the conference call and watched their "guidance" which gave you a feeling that their management is a little suspect. Obviously, one cannot get that sense from a review of their balance sheet alone. This forum is wonderful for allowing us to share our insights.
Personally, I tend to short stocks that I believe are overvalued and hold those short positions for a long time, rather than trade them.
With respect to other short opportunities. Check out RVDP, WEBX, PRBZ, GENI, CPKI. I would be interested in your thoughts.
