Yesterday In my post we were wondering if Thursdays rally implied the end of the bear market.

Later at night I checked the volume statistics for Thursday. There was no volume explosion, which implies that the bear market is still around.

Todays action again shows a lack of confirmation.

Alas, the bear will be around for a while ! Thursday rally was merely a dead cat bounce !

I agree that the Internets will never come back. The high PEs will not come back for another twenty years. So the growth in our portfolio will have to be driven by earnings growth, with relatively low PE growth. I hope that Intel can recover in a few years. The high multiple stocks might take a decade or longer.
