The Russians are constantly flying spy missions off the Alaska coast. Once, they got too close and we told them to back off. We didn't run them out of the sky and the crew hostage. There have been similar incidents off the coast of Florida.

They monitor us, we monitor them. They fly off some of our coasts, we fly off some of theirs. They gather intelligence and so do we.

The United States is not responsible for that downed pilot. He's flown this same mission for quite some time according to the Pentagon, he was recognized by our pilots. He got too close and clipped our plane. We have no reason to apologize.
