Prog - The case I was working was caused by a bug in synchronization when instruction prefetch was enabled which hung the system. These were pre-release samples. We wanted to keep testing so we disabled prefetch. There are so many variables (and so little information) that it is anyone's guess what the real results will be, and as CT says, we won't know until someone does some testing.

That's not an uncommon bug either - I have seen at least three instances in early production, one from Intel.
