Carl, "Still no MAJC. Any ideas?"

Maybe because the DRDAM controller is, eh, a little
over-engineered? It has to track down six-something
formats of Row and Column packets, maintain active
refresh, four power-saving (should I say burn-protection?)
modes, perform periodic current control, temperature
re-calibration depending on how many people are in the
room and climate control settings,...
During configuration phase it has to
measure propagation delays to every chip and enumerate
them via a patented Intel algorithm. I guess the MAJC
is not there yet because the smart Rambus controller
was lacking a feature of tracking the RMBS stock price.
That was the problem I think :) :) :)

I do not see any bragging in that post. But then you have never been on target with your ad hominem attacks. <G>

Sunw has not been particularly adroit at penetrating the microprocessor market. They are more likely to be using this in their own products.
