This is a fancy way of quantifying the observation that most rallies occurring in the first 3 days after a new low is hit are failure-prone. Absolutely. I expect this one to fail. Leadership (ie, high relative strength) from sectors in anything other than defensive issues Yup. In fact I expect we'd have to see the defensives pull back. It's not enough for dogs to win, but cats have to lose. Solid bases put in for stocks of growth companies (definitely not present now) You mean those trap door bottoms aren't good enough? -g- every rally is a bull market rally and should be shorted when momentum exhaustion or significant technical resistance is found. I'm assuming this was a typo and you meant to say bear market rally. Or was it a Freudian slip? -g-
