<<When we clean them we strip the eggs and sell most but always keep enough for bait for the coming year.>>

Don't get caught selling those eggs. We were cleaning some salmon when a guy wanted to buy some eggs. I took a few skeins and put them in a bag and told him they were free. He tossed a dollar on the table and when no one touched it he picked up the dollar and tossed the eggs in the garbage. Had one of us even touched that dollar even to give it back we would have lost our fishing gear, boat, car and been fined.

Ever tried canning those salmon?

I remember one year a lot of fishermen were killed in Michigan when they were salmon fishing. They went out when a storm was coming, they knew it, and didn't care..

Is there much difference between fresh water, and salt water salmon?
