M A R K E T .. S N A P S H O T -- U.S. shares set for modest pullback

NEW YORK (CBS.MW) - After a scintillating rally Thursday that took the averages up significantly, shares are bracing for some slight selling pressure at the open Friday.

June S&P 500 futures fell 2.10 points, or 0.2 percent, and were trading roughly 6.50 points below fair value, according to HL Camp & Co. Nasdaq futures lost 18.50 points, 1.2 percent.

In the Treasury market, the 10-year Treasury note was up 5/32 to yield ($TNX) 4.96 percent while the 30-year government bond added 5/32 to yield ($TYX) 5.52 percent.

Friday' employment report for March will be out shortly with non-farm payrolls, the unemployment rate and average hourly earnings on tap. View Economic Preview and economic calendar and forecasts.

In the currency arena, dollar/yen gained 0.4 percent to 124.41 while euro/dollar edged down 0.2 percent to 0.8950.
