Given that the American computer industry would be non-functional without China, it might not be particularly clever to piss China off any worse than he already has.

If instead of a collision with one of our planes they fire a missile at one of our ships should we apologize for the loss of the missile? They cause an accident. (I doubt our prop plane was trying to buzz Chinese fighters) but we are the one's pissing them off. If someone smacks you in the face to you apologize for hurting his hand?

Since China exports $100 Billion in goods a year to the US while importing only $16 billion in goods from the US...
I imagine somebody will manage to resolve this very soon.
