Amazing. He will get flamed. If not, even more amazing.
Like I said earlier, this is not a tour group of 24 folks looking for a swim in the ocean.

Yes and I wonder why we would ever want to know what is going on in China. My father nearly died well south of Yalu a number of years back in an undeclared act of war by the Chinese.

Americans should have mixed emotions about "surveillance" activities around China. It would be appropriate for the intelligence community to justify their activity by the importance of the intelligence gathered, but, until nations learn to be civil to one another and, war becomes a thing of the past, surveillance has its place in promotion of national security. Gotta be some advantage to being the "baddest dog in town".

This incident is unfortunate "collateral" damage and will hopefully be resolved amicably. If the intelligence ain't worth the price then we should promise to quit and get our people back. If it is then we have a problem to work out.

That crap about our plane causing the incident with an armed jet is pure crap. A prop simply couldn't make that happen by itself and certainly wouldn't want to.
