"One autonomous entity doesn't barge in and impose itself on another autonomous entity. Period."

Sure they do, if they want to. Who's to say otherwise?

Yes, of course they do if the want to and if they can. Sorry I wasn't more clear. I meant that "one doesn't do that" in the same sense that a parent would say "nice girls don't use language like that." In other words, I don't approve.

Perhaps you'll take a pottery class.

That's a really good idea. You know, I used to want to do that, way back in my housewife days. I don't think I remember why I never did. Money, probably. And space for the gear. When I didn't work, I couldn't afford my hobbies. Once I started a career, I had the money but never the time or the energy. Hopefully now I can do some of those things. I'm glad you reminded me.

I like to work with my hands. During that earlier period I took up knitting and crocheting. Maybe it's time for potting. I really love Acoma pots--the black and white geometric patterns. I'd dearly love to be able to do something like that someday. Probably I should just break down and buy one. I've looked a lot but never bought.
