<<have you heard of sfe?>>

edamo: as i recall SFE is SafeGuard Scientifics -- one of the earliest incubators in the technology field (and one of the largest investors in ICGE, VERT, etc..)....I read an article in Fortune about the Chairman who got seduced by the internet boom period in the late 90s -- he personally bought alot of net stocks and ICGE on margin and refused to sell them on the way down --> at the same time he was living the good life with his 2nd wife...He received some MASSIVE margin calls and was forced to sell lots of his shares in his company for the first time. Most of his wealth has evaporated...I don't think he'll go hungry but most of the firms that this exec. has stock in are way down in the single digits and out of favor. Who knows, he may surprise us and SFE may make a comeback. Don't a lot of folks in the Phili area own shares of SFE, ICGE or VERT? Maybe not anymore...

Best Regards,

Scott

Yes, Ed...of course I have heard of sfe.....

my data comes from both the company and a quite detailed report from SSB.

No biggie........lets talk in a few years, like I have said numerous times already and either icge will be dead and buried and you can say I told you so a million times, or it will still be alive and kicking.

ED, you also keep failing to see the point that I agree it is a very skeptical play, but I have done my homewrok on icge and it's core partner companies and feel good enough to roll the dice as I feel it has the potential to do well in the future. Many of it's partner companies are experiencing tremendous growth....in this tough market, that says alot to me. Personally I feel ICGE will be fine on it's own, and IF the IPO market ever becomes hot, they will have some pretty fine companies to take public which will be icing on the cake. You also fail to also realize that due to my trading of the stock which can move up or down 25% daily, I have a very low cost basis, so even if they do disappear off the face of the earth, it's no big loss.......but that's irrelevant. Currently it has value and if I thought it would disappear, I would sell. I don't so I will hold. My guess is if the market stays in bear mode for 2 or 3 years, you could be right and icge could be history and my losses will be minimal. Or If the bull comes back, I think icge will as well, and it could be a large appreciation gainer. So Ed, my risk is minimal, my reward could be quite nice. I fail to see why you cannot see my personal reason as to why I am in icge : My cost basis is minimal, I have researched icge and it's partner companies and like what I see. Simple as that.

Happy Trading

good weekend to all
