How about Lundin becoming an independent electric power producer for drought stricken Vancouver and the Pacific Northwest? It would be a big boost for Almanna Svenska Electricite Aktiebolaget (ASEA) debt structure.

Change of focus for PNG gas line
Herald Sun, April 7
BY JOHN MCCARTHY

Exxon Mobil took control of the Papua New Guinea to Queensland gas pipeline on 6 April 2001. Exxon Mobile exploration director, Doug Schwebel, will manage the project day-to-day. Exxon's exploration vice president for South-East Asia, Australia and Russia, Bill Threlfell, will chair the management committee that will oversee the project.

A spokesman for Exxon Mobil said the project had reached the stage where all the technical work had been done and that the focus would move to securing markets for the gas. Exxon Mobil's stake in the project is 30%.
