Mars$: the nukes would have been more acceptable to voters here had PGnE not tried to build them ON TOP of the San Andreas Fault. Environmentalists launched balloons from Bodega Bay(Sonoma County, 50 miles N. of SF) at proposed nuke building site, on the Fault Line. These balloons drifted inland all the way to Sacramento and the capital/legislature buildings.
That was the end of nuke building in Cal.
