I guess my point is that SUNW is a hardware company that can't deliver new hardware on time and when it finally does ship it is buggy and the MHz are much slower than the comparable CPU's that Intel and AMD are shipping.

It doesn't sound like a promising business to invest in.

I prefer a more profitable software company with several newly announced products all which appear to be ready to ship on time: Windows XP, Visual Studio .Net, Office XP (already shipping), X-Box gaming console, I could go on and on, but I need not as the market has spoken:

MSFT trades at 56 dollars with a 300 billion dollar market cap and is up 30% this year.
SUNW trades at 14 dollars with a 45 billion dollar market cap and is down 45% this year.
