The only rub in your cisco scenario is that cisco will have to be as smart as citibank has been over a long time frame. In citi's case that includes some very strategic acquisitions and totally new management.

40 fold increase for citibank over 10 years. Takes cisco to 520.

A stock price on CSCO of $520 would translate into a market cap of $3,785,600,000,000. That is Trillion, yes Trillion! And this is before any dilution of additional shares which will inevitably enter the picture down the road.

Even assuming CSCO can increase their sales 5 fold over that period, the stock would still be trading at over 31X sales after the quintupling of sales. Aint't gonna happen, unless of course we get another internet bubble like last year.
