Gordon, Scumbria is the Russian word for Mackerel. How about: "We are sorry for your loss of life due to the collision with our spy plane. We understand the terrible suffering the parents of that pilot are going through, and want to have the suffering of ours ended as well. Please release our men, and we will start a new era of reconciliation between our two countries." No way the Chinese could hold on after that, and the world would be quite impressed with Bush's statesmanship. Scumbria
