>whether it can sell more software next quarter, but whether the company has a viable business model at all. "
Rob, I do believe the Lord Emperor was the only person who knew what Ariba actually did.
He also knew a lot about Vert and Bsvn too.
Oh! now he knows more about Optical than anyone else.
He should have stuck to advertising while the going was good.

To all "fundamentals" fraud artists: Fundamentals are all important -- but if somebody tells you to "buy" a stock based on the fundamentals of the company and does not display any knowledge of the fundamentals of the company, the problem lies not with the stock or the company but with the potentially fraudulent nature of the "stock promoter". This is not the kind of "hard fraud" that lands a person in jail. The is the "soft fraud" protected by free speech. As Happy Girl says, nobody is forcing you to buy anything. You can choose to not listen. But rampant fraud should no longer be tolerated -- although in the bubble years it was how many people made money. In the past year fraud has been the sucker's bet it always will be and many fraud artists have lost a bundle. They hope to make that money back by getting their game going again. The lesson here is "buy on fundamentals" -- but watch out for the fraud artists out there who will sell you snake oil in a bottle that says "Great fundamentals! Well managed! Unlimited potential!".
