The bottom line is, you don't know that they are unconcerned about American opinion. American opinion might have lead to restraint at Tianenman Square. If it were ignored in the past, perhaps not now.

A Great Power must act like a Great Power, or it may as well put a sign on its back saying "Kick Me". Bush is on the right track......

China may be unconcerned. That would be a BIG mistake. They need our markets. They need our tech. They need us. its not in their long term interest to play chicken with the US. JLA

"Bush is playing with fire."

You have some good observations about the Chinese situation, like the one above. But if you roll over as you seem to be suggesting, the fire will burn hotter imo.

Dear scum, again you amaze me with your lack of understanding the obvious. Very poor vision. Let's have a parable.

There once was a president who played with fire in the hayloft with the farmers daughter and he burned his weiny and the semen he tried to put the flames out with consumed his presidency. You see that president had poor sight and missed the fire and hit the dress.

And then there was the White Hatted president and he was a Bush. All who are wise and know history know that the flame cannot consume the burning Bush. When the flame is righteous only the stupid get burned. Wisdom is knowing how to use the flame to burn the vacant liberal mind until all the scum is rendered.

Now ain't that a Rich parable of our times.
