The bottom line is, you don't know that they are unconcerned about American opinion. American opinion might have lead to restraint at Tianenman Square. If it were ignored in the past, perhaps not now. A Great Power must act like a Great Power, or it may as well put a sign on its back saying "Kick Me". Bush is on the right track......

There once was a president who played with fire in the hayloft with the farmers daughter and he burned his weiny and the semen he tried to put the flames out with consumed his presidency. You see that president had poor sight and missed the fire and hit the dress. And then there was the White Hatted president and he was a Bush. All who are wise and know history know that the flame cannot consume the burning Bush. When the flame is righteous only the stupid get burned.
