"However, the last few times I was there everything changed. The French would not speak English to you even if you were buying gas in their gas station. Things got "out of hand". They wouldn't speak English to me either. And I lived there!!! (ggg) Another thing: they wouldn't sell auto insurance to me because I was a woman. They would deal only with my husband. And then there are bars where only men are allowed. One of my feminists friends and I charged one, one Saturday night!!! (gggg) I think Quebec is a terrible place for a woman to live. JMOP, of course. Another set of riots will blow off later this month. My husband's knows, but he will go anyway since he made a commitment to make a presentation months and months ago. . He can speak French fluently, however, and now that he speaks it with a French Quebec accent, he should be okay! :) Zinga, I wouldn't move back to that Hell Hole if someone offered me all the Bush money!!!!
