I dont eat doughnuts, Mister Edamonite the Great

I still like S&P Sept puts
gradually accumulated, nothing crazy in quantity

had great interview on Wednesday
they loved the Jackass
war stories abounded on both sides
they want more Jackass next week before dangling green

nightmare almost over
100% in cash, like you instructed
but seeing some shorting opps once more
esp convincing to see such a one-day wonder on very thin positive news
big deal: Alcoa exceeded, and Dell lied

Ed,

Shorting KREM made sense going into a known increase in float of over 100%. For a trade, it worked out fine (without as much worry of manipulation or unknown events driving it up unreasonably).

Still a great company, still love the donuts. But also a good trade.

<<"buy this market" (edit) "buy these donuts">>

I agree with you there.......will go lower before we go higher and it will be much harder and probably a long while before the bull comes back. I have been sitting on a small amount of cash for a couple weeks....normally, I would have bought something immediately. I am patting myself on my back for actually practicing some patience and believing in my convictions. I do think we are heading lower, thefor, I will wait to buy and I will not be suckered by a rally like yesterdays, which I said at the end of the day was nothing but a bear rally and sure enough it was.

I also hate to say it...but you are 100% correct about tom's picks. I love the guy to death, but honestly his angels must be smoking some of that illegal stuff because his picks speak for themselves. In his defense however, I will say that not many had very good picks this year....Tom just happened to be a tad more off then most others. What amazes me, and this is not a put down of tom...in fact tom and I have discussed this privately...I love my brother to death, but that does not mean I agree with everything he says and does not mean i will not publicly question him on something........anyway...what amazes me most about tom is that it's the "same ole story".......we keep hearing the same story about houses and manipulation and the biggest scam in history and buy this market and etc....I mean, it's almost like he just has one post, and posts it over and over every 500 point drop in the naz......hell, even I have finally woken up and see the economic problems in this country and how long and hard it will be to overcome.......even I realized at 2500 that we were going much lower.....I am just so surprised a smart guy like tom cannot see the writing on the walls........I remember during the big bull run when lucretious preached his DELL to $1 over and over again and preached correction after correction that never happened....well finally, like a blind squirrel finding the occassional nut, he missed his "correction calls about 100 times, but at an overbought condition, he found his one little nut in the forrest and was proven correct...so after 100 calls, he was finally vindicated. Same will hold true with Vster...he has missed call after call after call...but eventually....we could be at naz 1500 or naz 300, but eventually, his call, which has been the same call since naz 4800 "buy this market...it's the biggest scam and biggest opportunity of a lifetime"...he will be correct and will be vindicated. he will have missed 100's of previous calls, but eventually, he will be vindicated and will be proven correct in that we should be buying this market. The only problem that both lucretious and tom fail to see is that just because a blind squirrel finds the occasional nut, does not make that squirrel a good nut finder....he just happened to stumble accross that nut because he kept looking over and over and over again, until he finally found it...same with luc and same with tom......make the same call over and over and over ...and eventually you will be proven correct.

The oddest thing I see about all this is that Tom is a pretty sharp guy...we all admitt that. It is beyond me that he hasn;t seen the last year develop at it has and admitt to being just another blind squirrel looking for a nut...just like all the rest of us......Does Tom actually think his calls have been good one's this year? can he honestly think all his calls of this being the best buying opp we will ever see..only to see us fall further and further into the abyss...were good and accurate calls? I don;t think so....I think tom is too smart to think he is the squirrel that finds all the nuts and he probably is well aware he is just another blind squirrel in an awfully big forrest.

Anyway...not meaning to dis on Tom...and he knows that....I just read your comment on had we just shorted everytime tom said to buy, and realized just how correct you are and it makes me wonder why he continues to make these calls. I have JW on ignore because frankly I think he treated me, and many others with complete disrespect, is demeaning to any woman that reads any of his posts and etc, etc.......but he still has a good handle on the market. Now, I dont know what he is saying, because he is on ignore, but judging by how others respond, my guess is he is saying we go farther down, and is probably giving tom a hard time about his "buy this market calls"...my guess is JW listened to Tom one too many times last year and finally woke up and smelled the coffee and realized that tom is no more of a guru then you, me or bugs bunny....nobody knows what this market will do no matter what data they have or TA they do.....this year, this past year has set a precedent unforeseen at any other time in our history. Some folks think this will be just a small blip on the screen...maybe it will in the long run, but right now, it is a helluva lot more then just a small blip......try telling that to some of the millions of people that have lost 90% of their assets in a year...they may not agree that this is just a small blip on the screen.

Good weekend to all
