Then Bush and Powell were able to bomb and pretend to be heroes. You are blithely skipping over the details, such as Desert Storm was a coalition of 34 nations. They apparently needed some heroes.......and got them. I hope the US does not stoop to hiding behind a shield of women and children. I don't pretend to know what was on Bush and Powell's minds but FWIW it was easily better than what Saddam had in mind. BTW Stan Musial was my boyhood sports hero, guess you know what that means.....and fortunately the Dodgers have sucked lately (along with the Angels)
