Tim, Interestingly Fed Gov Bob McTeer said on his cnbc interview today that "there is a long time between the March and May meetings." In addition, he mentioned an inter-meeting move a couple of times without the prodding of Kathleen Hays.

John Berry wrote a brief article on sunday saying he did not expect a cut prior to the May meeting.:

ET Berry on Fed : In a brief Sunday article, the Washington Post's John Berry writes that "the Fed is unlikely to act before its next policymaking session." While Berry is known for his Fed scoops, this article appears to be based solely on recent Fed speeches rather than an actual scoop, and does not change the Briefing.com view that the Fed is likely to cut rates intermeeting.'

credit spreads held together pretty well with the PG&E bankruptcy on Friday, which indicates some stability in
system.

as an aside........I believe today is the first day of complete decimalization on the NASD.
